“Start by doing what's necessary: then do what's possible; and suddenly you are doing the impossible.” St. Francis of Assisi
Dear St. Mary of the Hills Family,
Field Day
Thank you to all of the parents and family members who volunteered for Field Day on Friday. The weather was perfect and the children had a wonderful time. Without your help, the event wouldn't have been possible. I also want to extend a special thank you to Coach O for organizing the event. I know he put much effort and time to ensure that our children had a fun experience. Mrs. Hughes took some amazing photos, so be sure to check out our Facebook page and website.
Art Show
On Wednesday, the cafeteria was transformed into an amazing ECC Art Show, which was a huge success. The event gave the children an opportunity to display their creative and beautiful artwork and parents were able to purchase the art which will raise money for the ECC. Thank you to the entire ECC staff for organizing this event.
Field Trips
The end of the school year is fast approaching, and many classes have already gone on their end-of-the-year field trips. The Pre-K classes visited the Children's Museum in Easton. The Preschoolers are looking forward to Barnyard Babies visiting our school on Tuesday. Please be sure to look at the school calendar for important dates and read emails with details regarding upcoming field trips.
As always, if you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to email, call or come in to see me at school.
Sincerely,
Suzanne Banach Principal 617-698-2464
ECC
Dear ECC Parents,
It was a busy and exciting week at the ECC with the Pre-kindergartners visiting the Easton Children’s Museum, the Art Show and Field Day!
Classroom butterflies were transformed into chrysalides and were moved into their net habitats this week. Some of the students got to witness their butterflies hatching while others anxiously waited for theirs to emerge.
Our third annual Art Show was a huge success! The teachers and students put a lot of time and effort into the art pieces displayed. The students were very excited to show their pieces off. A big thank you to parents and grandparents for the generous donations. The Art Show proceeds will be going to the ECC for playground equipment and other enrichment supplies that are needed. We are truly grateful for the love and support you have shown us this year.
God blessed us with a beautiful day on Friday for Field Day. The children loved spending time outdoors with their friends. They participated in many fun-filled activities. A big thank you to the volunteers who helped keep the students safe. The children enjoyed seeing their parents while the teachers appreciated the extra help. A thank you to the parents who donated cases of water as well. The students ended the day with a surprise ice cream sundae party from their teachers. The teachers are extremely proud of the students’ hard work this year.
A friendly reminder that there is no school on Monday, May 29th in celebration of Memorial Day. Let us remember with gratitude and pride all those who served and died for our country and our freedom. May your day be filled with memories and peace.
Have a wonderful long weekend!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Devon Holt Assistant Principal/Director of the ECC
