"He who knows how to forgive prepares himself many graces from God. As often as I look upon the cross, so often will I forgive with all my heart."
St. Faustina
Dear St. Mary of the Hills Family,
The final weeks of the 2022-23 school year are here. The middle school just finished final exams, and the eighth-grade class of 2023 is busy preparing for their upcoming graduation ceremony on June 9th at 7:00 PM at the St. Mary of the Hills Church. This has always been an exciting, yet bittersweet time of year as we prepare to say goodbye to our eighth graders and many of our Pre-K children.
ECC
Barnyard Babies visited the ECC on Tuesday and the children enjoyed spending time with the adorable animals. Be sure to check out our Instagram and Facebook page to see all of the awesome photos that were taken of the children and animals.
State Fair Projects
Miss Newell's fourth-grade class held a State Fair presentation on Friday in the cafeteria, where students chose one of the fifty states to research. It was evident that students put much time and effort into creating these amazing projects to display and share with the entire school and their families. The first-grade classes are busy preparing for their upcoming Community Helpers Presentations.
June 16th Mass
The last Mass of the year will be hosted by the second-grade class on June 16th at 10:00 AM. All are welcome to attend. This will be the last day of school and it's a half day.
As always, if you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to call or email me.
Sincerely,
Suzanne Banach

ECC
Dear ECC Parents,
Wow, I can’t believe June is already here! With June 16th in sight the ECC has been busy finishing up their plant units, working on their Father’s Day projects and practicing for graduation.
This time of year always makes us a bit sad as we spend our last few weeks with your children and try to prepare ourselves for saying, "Good-bye" to each of them. It has been a wonderful year! We have marveled at the academic excellence of each of the children. They have accomplished so much! It has been a great blessing to watch them learn and grow this year. We have also enjoyed working with each of you and we thank you for the many ways you have helped us this year.
ECC Graduation is June 14th. All classes will graduate behind the ECC building near the playground. Please park on the street and walk to the back of the building during your child’s designated graduation time. The Early Learners will be graduating at 10:00 am, the Preschoolers at 11:00 am, and the Pre-Kindergartners at 1:30 pm. This is a full day of school, however; if you would like to take your child home to do something special following the ceremony please feel free to do so. If it happens to rain on June 14th all graduation ceremonies will be moved to June 15th. All times will remain the same.
June 16th is the last day of school. This is a half day. The ECC will be dismissed promptly at 11:50.
As the summer approaches parents often ask how they can focus on their child’s learning when they aren’t in school. One thing you can do is make sure your child has some structure throughout the day. Children are little sponges and absorb so much through play, but they also thrive on a certain amount of structure. A lot of children are more comfortable when they know what they can expect. Plus, structure can help your child master routines, which is a skill that they’ll eventually need for Kindergarten.
I wish you a relaxing weekend!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Devon Holt
Assistant Principal/Director of the ECC
