"What really matters in life is that we are loved by Christ and that we love in return."
St. John Paul II
Dear St. Mary of the Hills Family,
On Friday, Run-Out Day took place promptly at Noon. This has been a tradition here at St. Mary of the Hills for many years, a time to say goodbye to the 8th-grade class and recognize our 7th-grade students who are now the incoming 8th-grade class. The entire school community lined up outside the front of the school cheering and high-fiving, while the 8th grade class ran out of the school for the last time. Everyone counted down and cheered loudly as the new incoming 8th-grade students ran into the school.
The eighth-grade graduation last night was a beautiful celebration. This was a bittersweet occasion as we said goodbye to this amazing group of young men and women. We are sad to see them leave our school community, but so happy and proud of them for all of their hard work and accomplishments. This year, it has been a privilege to serve as principal of St. Mary's and we are blessed as a school to have such wonderful students, parents, and staff.
I want to thank all of the parents and guardians for your faith and trust in our school. Thank you for your commitment to Catholic education, for your partnership with our faculty, and for sharing with us the joy of teaching your children. I also want to recognize the amazing teachers and staff of St. Mary of the Hills whose love and dedication to their students is unwavering, where each student is recognized for the unique and special individual that God created them to be.
As we near the end of the school year, we have some very busy days ahead of us. Next week, the ECC and Kindergarten will be having their end-of-the-year celebrations. On Tuesday, the first-grade Community Helpers presentation will take place. Please be sure to look over the calendar for the dates and times of these special events.
I encourage all of our parents and guardians to become involved in PTO. This is a wonderful opportunity to help make our school a better place for our children as well as make new friends. If you have any questions, please reach out to our PTO president, Rudy Denis.
I wish all of you a wonderful weekend with your families. As always, if you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to me by phone, email, or come see me at school.
God bless,
Suzanne Banach

I am extremely grateful to, and proud of, all the ECC students for all of their hard work this year. They are a joy to work with and they make all of our efforts worthwhile. Each child is truly a blessing to us!
Lastly, I would like to thank our amazing ECC teachers. Thank you for planning, for teaching lessons, and for helping our students grow and learn everyday. Thank you for listening to students, for building their confidence and for inspiring them.
